Community Impact Fund (CIF)
The Community Impact Fund (CIF) is made possible through the generous support of the Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation (MRBF). With a total of $70,000 in funding, the CIF supports SCACED member organizations that are leading transformative, community-rooted work that expands access, equity, and long-term opportunity for South Carolina residents.
Guided by MRBF’s mission to help people and places move out of poverty and achieve greater social and economic justice, the CIF strengthens the capacity of local organizations to build power, influence systems, and uplift the voices of historically marginalized communities. Eligible applicants must have:
Active SCACED membership
501(c)3 status
An active board management process
Financial statements
A history of community economic development projects
2026 Voter Engagement Mini-Grant
The Voter Engagement Mini Grant is a new funding opportunity for South Carolina organizations and community groups to participate in voter engagement initiatives to educate, register, and activate voters.
Proposals due to SCACED: Monday, August 31, 2026 by 11:59 PM EST (midnight)
Total Available Funding: $500.00
Project Period: September 15 - December 31, 2026
