Community Impact Fund (CIF)

The Community Impact Fund (CIF) is made possible through the generous support of the Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation (MRBF). With a total of $70,000 in funding, the CIF supports SCACED member organizations that are leading transformative, community-rooted work that expands access, equity, and long-term opportunity for South Carolina residents.

Guided by MRBF’s mission to help people and places move out of poverty and achieve greater social and economic justice, the CIF strengthens the capacity of local organizations to build power, influence systems, and uplift the voices of historically marginalized communities. Eligible applicants must have:

  1. Active SCACED membership

  2. 501(c)3 status

  3. An active board management process

  4. Financial statements

  5. A history of community economic development projects


2026 CIF Grant Application

Request for Proposals: July 1, 2026
Proposals due to SCACED: Friday July 31, 2026 by 11:59 PM EST (midnight)

Total Available Funding: $70,000
Project Period: Within 12 months of grant disbursement date
**Must be an active SCACED member by July 27, 2026 to be eligible.**

Our 2026 Community Impact Fund (CIF) grant program is now open! Through the generous support of the Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation (MRBF), this year's grant program will offer (10) single grant awards to SCACED members in the amount of $7,000 each. In a year where funding diversification is a priority, we encourage our members to take advantage of this member-only opportunity!
