Community Impact Fund (CIF)
The Community Impact Fund (CIF) is made possible through the generous support of the Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation (MRBF). With a total of $70,000 in funding, the CIF supports SCACED member organizations that are leading transformative, community-rooted work that expands access, equity, and long-term opportunity for South Carolina residents.
Guided by MRBF’s mission to help people and places move out of poverty and achieve greater social and economic justice, the CIF strengthens the capacity of local organizations to build power, influence systems, and uplift the voices of historically marginalized communities. Eligible applicants must have:
Active SCACED membership
501(c)3 status
An active board management process
Financial statements
A history of community economic development projects

Request for Proposals: May 28, 2025
Proposals due to SCACED: Tuesday, July 1, 2025 by 11:59 PM EST (midnight)
Total Available Funding: $70,000
Project Period: Within 12 months of grant disbursement date
**Must be an active SCACED member by June 8, 2025 to be eligible.**

This is a competitive grant process with a total of $70,000 in available funding to award ten (10) grants in the amount of $7,000 each. Projects must be completed within 12 months after the award disbursement. SCACED will be available to field questions about CIF funding and what projects and programs qualify.
